The key to this learning is understanding the codification of the language to allow advanced fluency in the shortest time possible.

This specialist course is delivered in five 1 hour online sessions and ten hours of self-directed learning over 10 weeks. Group face-to-face delivery options are available on enquiry.

In addition to the lessons learnt in Te Kete Tuatahi, you will learn:

  • Tauparapara (Traditional Incantations)

  • Whakapapa (Genealogy)

  • Kōrero Pūrākau (Traditional Stories)

  • Kawa, Tikanga (Marae Protocols & Etiquette)

  • Tōrangapū (Political Structures & Relationships)

  • Whaikōrero (Speech Making—Intermediate competence)
